Re: Endometriosis and Continuous Birth Control Pill

I take my pills continuously but force a period about every 3 months. My Doc recommended having a period 3-4 times a year. I can tell after about three that I really need to have one. Start bloating, getting crampy, spotting, etc. When I do have a period now, I bleed very little but still have the headache, cramps, etc. I just forced one a week ago and although I barely bled (didn't need more than a pantyliner) I still had bad cramps, backache, headache, and moodiness. I felt a little weird the first couple months after I started the continuous process, but after that, the weirdness subsided and now I only feel weird (crampy, etc.) when it has been several months since I had a peroid. It will probably take your body sometime to adjust to the continuous flow of hormones. It has helped my endo pain subside some, but it is still there, just not quite as bad. I have found that I usually feel my best from an endo perspective the week or two after I have had a forced period. Just my experience and thoughts-hope this helps you a little.
