Hi Holly,

Hope this helps, read how long it stays in your system you would be surprised as i'm not happy but here is my story.

Well i went to a doc in houston in 1992 as i was having pains and bleeding heavy. the doc told me i had endiometriosis and performed a endiometrialablation. That helped for a couple years then pain came back. I was then placed on birthcontrol in 1995 as pain came back but bleeding was normal. We moved to Amarillo and i saw another doctor and he said that thiers nothing that they could do as endiometriosis is not curible so stay on the pill and gave pain killers. I did this for years! I found another doctor a year ago and told him that im tired of being on the drugs. He said the only thing he could do is put me on Lupron. That this has help thousands of women. So i took 5 shots. yes pain was gone while on it but side effects were bad. Bones ached, no sleep, hot flashes ect...I called him to let him know I would not take the last shot as my husband started looking things up online and found out that the only way you can diagnose endio was with a lap, he said that was true and not to believe everything online. Well i never took last shot and just stopped going to see him. Well pains got worse that my husband had to call him as i was laying on the bathroom floor in so much pain and crying. When doc got on phone he said it will pass and she knows how bad the pain gets and ask her what pain medicine she wants me to call in..we were pissed...well i am now seeing a female doc and she is great! she said that we would have to start from scratch and get all info together. She had me do sonograms, bloodwork, hormone checks, mamo, pap, bone density and a lap was done last week. all test were good except bone density and lap. the bone density test showed: she has osteopenia of the spine and hips. Her lifetime fracture risk is estimated to be 60%. Since she took the Lupron from July 2002 to December 2002 that may of been the cause for her osteopenia as she is a young female and she needs to understand that Lupron stays in her bone for approximately 10 years and we do not know the effect on pregnancy or the newborn. She needs to repeat bone density test every 2 years to evaluate changes. As for the lap doc did find endiometriosis, and found that my right ovary is is smaller and that my uterous is softer than she would like it to be. I go back on the 17th for my check up and she will explain more on this to me.

~Cindy~

After all the problems I had with Lupron and many doctors I had a bone density test done. Here is what it says
