Could this be endo?

Hi all. I am a 35 year old mother of 3 boys. I was dx via lap with endo at age 23. I was one of the lucky ones and had no problems with conception. I did have a lot of pain prior to my pregnancies. A couople of months ago I started having abnormal bleeding and was on Yasmin. My PAP was negative as was a sonohysterogram last month. My gyno changed me to a stronger pill and I the bleeding was more pronounced. This past month, I went off of the pill on his advice. I had no bleeding. However, on day 28 of my cycle I woke up to a mild amount of spotting. I was excited to think it was my period right on time. Now it is 36 hrs later and still no more spotting or bleeding. I really thought that things got better off the bcp. I was having the same old pain I had years ago when I was spotting over the past few months and this month... no pain. So here is my question.... I know that pre-menstrual spotting is common with endometriosis. Could that be what this is? If this is the case, when would I expect to get my period. Can you have spotting due to endo only 1-2 days prior or can you spot for a longer period of time? This is not a symptom that I had in my 20's. I am not sure what to do. Should I consider more testing to see what this bleeding is. It seems so much better with the hormone change that I just really thought that was the issue. Now I am a bit concerned that it may need more investigating. Thanks for your input.
