Andrianne,

Hi there. I"m very young as well only 25 and had a hyst at 24, no kids or husband. My only advice to you is make sure they at least leave one of your overies in, or you will be going into surgical menopause and if you thought that menopause with Lupron was bad, girl, I dont mean to sound rude or I am not saying this to scare you, but I want to prepare you because i was on Lupron as well and those hot flashes were nothing compaired to what I have now with hot flashes every 15 minutes or so and night sweats every night I wake up drenched in sweat, and sometimes even have to take a shower in the middle of the night or take my sheets off my bed and put new ones back on. I had this operation 7 months now and they are still horrible, not sure when they will ever go away or how long we will be in menopause for if you have surgical menopause. There arent alot of books in the libary on it either, I've looked, I just feel that being a member of hystersisters.com or hysterectomybeforeandafter.com are both very good websites for people who have had, or are thinking of having a hyst.

If you have any other questions you'd like to ask me, feel free to do so, anytime, I'm online every night and will write back asap. I try to help out as much as I can for young girls having to have a hyst. You can ask me anything no matter how personal and I will give you an honest answer, since I've already gone through this.

Take care of yourself, and try to stay painfree, and write anytime if you'd like.
