Re: Nobody seems to know what it isFrom: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Oct 29 21:42:04 2003
Michelle, Hi there. Can I just ask a quick question, why are you on hormones, did you have a hyst??? If you did, I also had one but I am on only progestrone, you dont want any estrogen in your body and the patch has estrogen in it, anyone (doctors) who tells women after a hyst which overies removed that they should be put on estrogen is crazy, doctors should know that, its that, that causes us to have endo in the first place. I have to just deal with the hot flashes and night sweats everyday because I will not put anymore of that junk in my body, and there are so many warnings about it causing cancer I'd definitely suggest a different route, maybe natrual HRT, that could work and it doesnt have any estrogen in it. I'm sorry I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life, I just want to see people get better and not worse. After I had my overies and tubes removed 6 months ago my gyno put me on the estrogel so estrogen that you rub into your skin well if I had known better I would have told him to keep his damn estrgoen cause now my endo is back and no one will do another lap on me. Its very frustrating and I dont want anyone to have to go through what I've had to go through the past 6 months, especially since I'm only 25 years old. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope you start feeling better soon, I do hope you take some of what I said into consideration.
