I started my period when i was 13, and it wasnt until last year when i was 20 for them to start getting irregular. Each month they got heavier and heavier, when they were normal and five days before this started happening. They stretch to six or seven now. After six months, I was not only heavier, but passing clots, along with severe pain. They switched me to another birth control pill, and told me i may have the beginnings of endometriosis, and to moniter it...the periods then went to one day in length, extremely light, which was great at the time. five months later, here i am back to having extremely heavy flow, breast tenderness that ive never had before, more than normal pain, bowel problems, etc...it seems as if there is something new every month. two months ago i started spotting four or five days before my periods. i know i am not pregnant, and i suspect that i have endo. I know my mother had fibroids though, and had to have a hysterectomy pretty young, as did my paternal grandmother and her daughter. All three have also had ovarian cysts. I also have sharp pains between ovulation and starting my period. what do you think i have? every time i go to the ob/gyn, they say its not a big deal and to just moniter it. kris
