Michele, I am not a doctor, but it sounds to me like you may have adenomyosis. This is a disease often referred to as internal endometriosis where the endometrial cells burrow inside the uterus. This causes a lot of pain, and the only cure that I am aware of is a hysto. This is also one of the only real ways to diagnose it. Without a hysto, the diagnosis is based upon suspicion by the doctor and ruling out any and all other possible causes, though they can also take a sample during a lap from the uterus and test it. My understanding is that it occurs after pregnancy due to trama to the uterus. Read up on it and ask your doctor if you think it could be your problem. Good luck! Jules
