Linda, Your pain could be caused by the cyst. If you think you may have endo, then request a lap. That is the only way to diagnose it. An ultrasound won't pick up endo. I had a regular ultrasound and a vaginal ultrasound a couple of weeks before my lap and they showed nothing. My doctor was suprised to find the extensive amount of endo that he found on me during my surgery. Many women have cysts and don't have endo, and many women with endo also have cysts. Until you get a lap, though, you won't know for sure. Good luck! Jules
