Re: Bowel Problems - Attention Chris

Your story sound so similar to mine it's scary. I've only had one lap, and my doctor didn't even address my bowel problems. He said that he removed it from my rectum, yet the operative report didn't reflect that. Recently I went to a new doctor, when I told her that my bowel problems were my biggest complaint, her response, "hmmmm???" She sent me to an Urologist, General Surgeon, and GI doctor. They couldn't agree on what was causing my problems, yet they all agreed that I should have a hyst. None of them thought that my bowel problems were endo related. I asked one doctor "how do you explain my bowel related problems during my cycle?" His response, "hormones?" Funny, how my female obgyn that once thought I had a severe endo, changed her mind when the male doctors didn't agree. I dropped all of them like a hot potato. I am presently waiting to have surgery with Dr. Reich. He instantly felt nodularity in the cul-de-sac. Hopefully it will be in December, but I'll wait for quality care, you just can't put a price on it.

Anyway, I agree if your doctor would have had a general surgeon on hand to fix your adhered colon, you wouldn't be having problems now.

I just don't get it, how can a doctor go in and only fix part of the problem. That wouldn't happen in heart surgery - "We only unclogged one artery, because we only allotted two hours for surgery, sorry. Take two Advil; come back when your quality of life is almost nothing."
