This message to 20 year old w/possible endo:

I actually wrote a lengthy letter already today, but it looks like somehow it did not get posted. Not sure what happened. Anyway, basically I wanted to say it sounds like you have not found a caring Dr. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER ONE!!! I went to a female specialist who didn't do a darn thing for me, then I went to another Dr who didn't seem to care either. Won't go into his idea of how I could get pregnant. Anyway, I have a wonderful Dr. with great bedside manner - which unfortunately, a lot of them don't have anymore. When I brought my paperwork from the other Dr's he noticed right away I had some concerns about having Endo. He told me he would do the lap procedure ( THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO DIAGNOS - NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE TELLS YOU) I would suggest, first having this procedure done. It is minor and is an out surgery thing. LAPEROSCOPY, you can find it on the internet. It is sad to see that money is so much more important to some rather then taking care. I was on Lupron for 6 months after having my left ovary and left fal tube removed due to Endo. This was to keep it from growing in hopes I would get pregnant right away. Still waiting. If I was not placed on birth control in high school, they may have diagnosed and I would be ok today. So, please, go see 1, 2, 3 Drs if you have to until you get some answers and someone listens to YOU. They are going by what books tell them, you are going by what your body is telling you. I hope to hear from you. Take care, God Bless and it will get better. SHUGS
