Hi Stephanie. I'm Jeni, and I'm 28. I'm sorry that they put you on Lupron, without telling you what to expect. You should always do tons of research on your own before taking anything. I learned that one the hard way. Anyways, you should do some looking into Lupron - it is a very serious drug with very serious side effects. I had spotting at first while on it, but then my periods stopped altogether. That is the goal, since the menopause state is what is supposed to help your endo. They don't recommend any herbal supplements, natural menopause relief creams, teas or pills, because they combat the symptoms by raising your estrogen levels. The estrogen is what causes endo to spread, and therefore it defeats the purpose of taking the lupron in the first place. It is ok to have sex, but know that even though you are not having your period, you are still ovulating and can get pregnant. Lupron is NOT birth control. You cannot take any oral bc while on it either. You need to use barier methods such as condoms. Do not get pregnant while on it, or you may have birth defects. You have to be extremely careful. I also used a spermicidal gel along with the condoms (or foam, or film). Those can be found in drug store. Hope this helps. Good luck to you. Hope you have better luck with lupron than I did. Best wishes for pain free days.

My endo NEVER hurt until I had this surgery. It has hurt constantly since then... it even hurts to walk sometimes! We tryed several birth control options and they didnt work, so I just had my first lupron injection today. I am soooo nervous. They didnt really tell me what to expect. Will I have spotting everyday? Will I have my period? Is it ok to have sex? Is there anything that will help the symptoms if I do get them? Are there any herbal supplements I should or shouldnt be on? I would appreciate any advice and answers. THANKS! Stephanie PS- I dont know how this system works... do i check the website everyday or does it go to my email?? THANK YOU
