Re: My first post: After Laparoscopy: What next?

I went to a 2nd opinion gyn today and he pretty much told me what I had already suspected: IVF may be a possibility if my ovaries are working (he is going to put me on clomid to see if my FSH go back down to normal--post-op they were high), but I'm not counting on it, since after the first lap the doc only left 1/3 of each ovary. My other options are adoption, like you said, or a surrogate. I don't know. I guess I'll just take it one blow at a time.

I'm in a lot of pain today and I think my endo is back. Either that, or I'm going to have one hell of a period. My lower back is killing me and my ovaries hurt (or what's left of them).

I wrote to the Endometriosis Assn. and I'm going to start a support group in my area. I'm a marriage and family therapist by trade and starting a group is like second nature to me. Wish me luck.
