Re: Weight Gain With Endo . . .From: Jane (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Sep 30 20:48:43 2003
I'd say it's the drugs. I just recently had a major endo operation removing it from all organs in my pelvic region and the drugs i was put on afterwards (mainly contraceptive pills) increased my weight. I've never had a problem with weight before. I've stopped the pills now and my doctor has put me on a drug that stops periods altogether, I've been on it before and it was terrific as most of my problems occur because I'm having a period. I'm not planning on having kids, so it works for me. I'm 33 and have been suffering with endo since the age of 12. If your body changes in any way ie skin, weight, moods, hair etc... it's normally the drugs and why should we have to put up with all that as well as the endo!!!!!!
