>Kimberly, I was diagnosed with Endo about 2 years ago now. I have suffered a great deal, as most of us have. I just found this site, which I think probably helps a lot of women, since most people have no idea what we go through. I was reading your response to Terese and I read that you just had a baby 14 months ago. My question to you is, did being pregnant help with your endo? And if it did, how long into the pregnancy before you felt any relief? I just found out that I am pregnant, and I am still experiencing some pain related to the endo. Any info would really be appreciated. Thanks, Wendy

Dear Wendy,

First of all, Congratualtions on your pregnancy! My personal feelings about my pregnancy and endometriosis are a little mixed, I was extremely sick with morning sickness...in my case all day sickness and felt completely fatigued as a result. Yes, it was wonderful not having my monthly menstrual pain, but to feel as sick as I did on a daily basis for approximately 6 months was not enjoyable as well. I forced myself to nurse, even though my little guy had a tough time latching, in hopes that my periods wouldn't return. I nursed for 6 months and had no periods... it was so wonderful. But it has since come back with a vengence. I am quicly approaching the same level of pain I had experienced before the pregnancy and my doctor wants me to get back on consecutive bcp's again. I hate what hormones due to me, I get every side effect in the book, but my baby needs me to be healthy and I am going to give it a shot again. Thank you for your note and I hope some of my personal experiences have been helpful. I wish a happy and healthy pregnancy. Sincerely, Kimberly I
