Re: when does lupron kick in???From: Tina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Sep 30 11:56:20 2003
Hi Christyn, I had a similar thing happen to me when I was on Lupron. I took Alesse as add-back (HRT), but it did not work correctly. I quit taking the Alesse on the 5th month and finally the Lupron kicked in. I talked to some doctors about this, the response was that the HRT used had too much progesterone which interferred with the Lupron. I went three months off the HRT and finally the pain went down, but you get the side effects of the Lupron. For me, all I had were hot flashes during winter so not too bad, but many women have severe side effects. I am going to do another treatment of lupron or synarell, but this time I am going to use a natural estrogen cream made from Soy. I hope this works, otherwise it's surgery time. Hope this helps, Tina
