Jodi,

I have heard conflicting reports on the soy issue...personally, I think it helps my endo -- I am soy crisp and tofu junkie, so thank god. Some think that the phytoestrogens in soy actually block your estrogen receptors with a less effective (plant derived) estrogen so your body actually uses less of your more effective natural estrogen. Others thing that estrogen is estrogen and it is bad to introduce it into one's body when one has an estrogen dependant ailment. Some may disagree with me, but I think that with anything involving endo, you just have to experiment with the alternatives -- depending on which theory you buy (I am sure you can read up on them online) I would try to lay off the soy for a couple months and see what happens, and if you have no improvement or worsening, go back.

One way or the other, the fact you don't get extra hormones from eating/drinking the milk of animals injected with them is good, so you are a step ahead of the rest of us for being a veggie.

Good luck, and feel well
