I was in a lot of pain after my lap two weeks ago. In could actually feel the bubbles in my shoulder crackling. By far the best thing I did for my shoulders was a massage. I couldn't afford a professional one, but they sell electronic massages that imitate kneading fingers I used it for hours and it really helped! I have an industrial strength one, but it sells for $200. Used it for HOURS and was worth it's weight in gold.Good luck!

(they also sell cheaper versions at Bed Bath and Beyon for $30 or so, they don't work as well, but better than nothing).
