Re: nervous about surgeryFrom: Lee (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Sep 28 18:35:13 2003
Don't worry. I had a lap two weeks ago for the first time and was very nervous. I think the best way to ease your nerves it to educate yourself on the procedures, ask questions, and prepare yourself for post surgery. Get all your errands done and get some friends or family to help you after the procedures. You will need it! At least for the emotional support. The anasthesiolgist gave me "1/2 marguerita" in my IV before they wheeled me in the operating room. It really eased my nerves! Good luck!
