Re: California surgeon - Cameron Nezhat Controversial???

I received a laparoscopy from Cameron Nezhat 2 weeks ago where they found that I had level IV endo. Also, I had a small fibroid and appendix removed. My experience has been very good and I was glad to have gone with such an experienced surgeon since we initially suspected that I only had level I or II going in. He is the director of endoscopy at Stanford University and a pioneer of the videolaparoscopy. I was uncertain about going to him at first because I had read some controversial information about him. (He had been involved in a lawsuit concerning bowel resection.) But, after meeting with him I felt very comfortable with the decision. My sister who is a doctor and went with me to the procedure was very impressed by his bedside manner and professionalism. She felt he really took his time in "cleaning me up". I also think he is an empathetic doctor which I think is rare for surgeons.
