Tried the Ultram/tramadol

I waited as long as possible, hoping to minimize the number of pills used. Last night I was overcome with menstrual/endo pain, so I took an Ultram and 5 Advil (normally I would have taken 8-10 Advil) and went back to bed. At first I thought it didn't work, but it turned out it took nearly an hour to take effect. I was just a tad weird in the head, but it was still significant relief, *almost* pain free for about 4 hours. Wow, though -- when the pain came back it was excruciating! Nevertheless, I waited the full 6 hours before taking another one. I've been taking them (one) every six hours today, sometimes with 4-5 Advil and sometimes with 2 Tylenol, and would say that while I'm still really impaired, I'm a lot better off than I was with the 40-50 Advil/day. Even made it out to the store and was able to take care of my parrot (usually he's confined to a covered cage while I wrestle in bed with the pain). Hopefully I'll only have to take it one more day.
