I'm 19 years old and I want advice, stories, information about >the Lupron shot from women who have actually been through the Lupron >therapy and FINISHED the shot. Thank you! Good morning, I have finished my 6 months of Lupron shots. I actually posted yesterday to see if I could get some feedback from any ladies at this forum that may have finished as well. I found the treatment took away my abdominal pain and bloating very quickly. I was very happy about that! Not having a period is a complete bonus too. There are many side effects and I think it affects everyone differently. I am waiting to start menstrating again to see if it truly has done any permanent good. I would say if I can get even a few years pain free that the 6months is short term pain for long term gain. My side effects were hot flashes - day and night....which can REALLY affect your sleep, I had joint and muscle ache for approx the first 6weeks and I was actually very emotional...nothing I couldn't live with. My last shot was on July 25 and already I have very little in the way of hot flashes. This may or may not be the choice for you, I would definately read as much as you can so you can make an informed decision. Best of luck, Lisa
