Bleeding, help!

Hi girls, I recently started a new pill, since my doc is a dope and had me on a high estrogen pill. Question is, just before I started this pill I was in the middle of my last pack and didn't want to stop in the middle of the pack. I took a pill in my 2nd week a few hours later than normal. (Bad, I know.) Here's the problem, I have been bleeding for going on 2 weeks now. It was very bright fresh looking blood at first and heavy. Now it is lighter bleeding but looks like "old" blood. Is this normal? I know spotting is expected when you miss a pill, but I didn't even miss it. I had also had my first period in 4 months a couple weeks before I started this spotting. I'm on continuous BC pills and didn't even spot when I switched to this method. I'm so confused and sick of bleeding. Cramps have been pretty bad too. Condisering I just had my lap in July and I had a tough time healing, could this have something to do with it? Let me know if anyone can help.
