Re: How do you get out of bed in the morning? From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Sep 22 08:50:34 2003
Hi, I agree - stay off the painkillers if you can. They're bad for your kidneys. I take UVA URSI, PLS II, and Elderberry Defense. I purchase these through Nature's Sunshine. If you look these herbs up, you'll see that they're mainly used for candida, urinary problems, and viral infections - among many other things. The naturalists "theory" about endometriosis is that it is a disease that results from a multitude of body systems going "amuck". So, in a nutshell, the healthier you are, the better chance you have of helping your own body to heal. I know it sounds crazy, but I can tell you from experience that it works. I suffered from weird chest pains for years. I went to the ER several times thinking I was having a heart attack. I was finally diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse. My cardiologist told me that mitral valve prolapse doesn't usually cause pain, but never gave me an explanation as to why I kept having the pain. Out of pure frustration, I decided to research alternative therapies. I was introduced to an Iridologist (you can look it up on the internet), who told me to take Hawthorne Berries. I was scared at first, but after a couple of weeks I noticed that I was feeling better, and that the chest pains were becoming less and less. I couldn't believe these herbs were actually working! Go figure!! I went for a stress/echo two years ago and my cardiologist found no evidence of the mitral valve prolapse. And, better yet, no more chest pain! When I told him that I'd been taking Hawthorne Berries he wanted to know more about them! Imagine that!! I supplied him with page after page of literature explaining how the berries work. What he did with this info after I left his office is anybody's guess! (He probably put it in the trash can!) As far as endo goes, do as much research as you can regarding natural therapies. What's right for one person isn't right for another. And, better yet, find a Doctor of Natural Medicine, or an Iridologist in your area. That way you don't have to play a guessing game if you decide to try alternative therapies. I know this must sound like I'm against modern medicine, but I'm not! I have two cousins and a brother that are MD's, and my mother is an RN! I'm surrounded by medical professionals! I firmly believe there is a time when we need medical help, but that there is also a time when we can help ourselves naturally. I could go on and on about this, so I'll stop now before I put you to sleep! The bottom line is do what's best for YOU!! The natural therapies have always worked for me, so I'm sticking with them! God Bless!
