(It helps with the pelvic pain) If you sleep on the side, it helps to put a pillow between your knees. Heating pads are good too. Do you have a good bed? (Seems insane but I did get a select comfort airbed to help with sleep b/c of pain issues -- airmattesses are supposed to be best for back issues.) I had hip pain before from an accident -- so it had nothing to do with endo. I seriously suggest some gentle stretching. I pull my knees to my chest/up under the underarm, hold then release. One leg at a time, then both. Gentle stretches can really help. When I was really in alot of pain with the hip, walking in the shallow end of a pool, and then swimming were a huge help. Gentle forms of yoga would be good also. I don't know if these apply -- but they shouldn't hurt. For lower back pain, it is important to develop strong abdominal muscles and consciously try to use them when leaning over, etc. I know it is hard with pelvic pain, but still important. And I had a cortizone treatment -- which I have to say was a life saver. You could ask about that. I even asked if they could do something similiar for the endo -- doesn't seem to be viable though. I toss nutmeg in herbal teas to help sleep, can't report lots of success yet. Herbal teas at night in general seem to help. Just some hints, Jennifer
