Hi Katie. I take Yasmin continuous bcp and I had the exact same thing happen to me, and at first i really freaked me out. I posted a question about it to this forum and nobody answered me back. So I just waited until my next ob apt and asked my gyn if it was normal. She herself takes continuous Yasmin bcp and said that it was very normal. My discharge also was very light at first, but toward the end of my third pack, the spotting slowly increased to light bleeding, to heavy bleeding. I was filling at least 2-3 super tampons a day! I was pissed. I was supposed to take the pill for 3 months continuous and then have a period, but instead I had 2 months with no period and then 1 full month of spotting and bleeding. I alson was passing huge clots. What's the point of taking bcp continuous in order to not have a period, when all it did was give me 2 months of no period and 1 full month of spotting and bleeding? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Anyway, my doctor said that it is normal and that when I start to spot, that I should take a 5 day break from the pill and allow myself to have a period. She said that no more than 7 days should be skipped or ovulation can occur. I have sinse taken her advise and now have a period every two and a hlf months or so. What pill are you on?
