My pain in my back worsens throughout the day depending on what I've done physically that day. My hips hurt at night mainly from the pressure of sleeping on my side, although I am aware of the dull ache in the hip/buttock area during the day. Do you have one hip that hurts more than the other? I do, my right. I toss and turn all night and end up on my back, which hurts continually. My doctor prescribed Ambien from sleep and it seems to help a little. I'm afraid of getting hooked on these pill though. She swears they are non-addictive. She has prescribed Lupron, which I was opposed to taking, but she wants to exhaust all avenues before performing a hysterectomy. Have you thought about finding a doctor who specializes in excision of the endometrial tissue. I've read that this is a better procedure because it gets all the Endometriosis. If this is true, then why aren't more doctors doing this procedure? Why are so many woman on this site about to undergo a radical hysterectomy if it's not even a sure thing to get rid of this disease? I am so confused as to what to do. I wish you luck with your back/hip pain. I've read and also taken magnesium for hip pain. It's a natural supplement you can find at any GNC. I think 250mg is the recommended dose. I hope this helps some. Please feel free to e-mail me. anonymous@obgyn.net
