Hi Michelle,

I just read your email from this past June and am wondering how you are doing. You are the exact same ge I was when I was first diagnosed (after a long, arduous, painful summer) with endo. I was given every annoying treatment in the book (bc pills, lupron, you name it) and finally had laser surgery. I got worse initially...BUT I've had only very mild intermittent symptoms ever since--I'm now 36. I am having symptoms again...ughh!! But I want to reassure you that this WILL NOT ruin your life!!! :-) I promise!!!! You will be 100% fine and will probably have really long stretches with no symptoms. The main thing is to understand that it's not in your head. You need to be assertive with your doctors and you need to be good to yourself. Distraction (cut boys, etc.) always helped me. You WILL be able to go out and have fun again soon. You are soooooooo young and you have everything to look forward to. Chin up girl. Now take some of those pain killers and go out dancing anyway!!!!
