Re: Question About Endo & the Birth Control Pill's Effectiveness

Tiffany, Here is my experience with continuous birth control. As long as you are taking it everyday and at the same time everyday, it SHOULD be effective. However, when you go off for your one week period, sometimes it can cause a surplus of eggs to be released. Also, the pill isn't 100% effective. Sometimes even though you take it perfectly an egg slips through. In any case, use of condoms can't hurt. Not only will you not have to worry about pregnancy but STDs will be prevented also. If you are worried about feeling and the like, I have had experience with that with my husband. They have many different types of condoms for a good reason. Try some different ones out. Some are ribbed both outside and inside. It might take a couple times to find a condom you both like. Or you could also try the female condom. Personally, it wasn't very fun for me, but every woman is different. Both partners can be satisfied while using a condom, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
