This is my personal experience. I have been on Danazol for about 8 months now. The side effects are very minimal except for my occasional hot flashes. It has not stopped the growth of any ovarian cysts or decreased the size of cysts already present in me. I have had multiple surgeries to clean me up and the only downside to it is that adhesions can form after surgery and cause pain themselves. My opinion would be to try the Danazol first, it could be very effective for you. If you don't get relief from the Danazol, then try the surgery. That is what I have done.
