kim, hi there. in my own personal opinion it does sound like you have endo, and endo does run in families my mom has it, as i have it. it also sounds like someone is wrong when they tell you, that you dont have a bladder infection, right now i've had one for 2 1/2 months and i feel i know all about them, and the pain that comes with the, and it sure does sound like you have one, did your gyno or family doc tell you that it wasnt a bladder infection? you were asking what to expect from a laporoscopy have you ever had one before? oh yeah you said this was your first. well first off you'll feel a bit sore that first day and for a few days after, but you'll be able to walk around no problem, just you'll feel weak, they fill your stomach up with carbon dioxide so when you wake up you'll feel gassy all over it will hurt i can tell you that, but it will go away within a few days as well, just keep rubbing it and having your new husband massage you it will feel better. you will probably end up with 3 little tiny cuts, 2 on each side of your pelvis and one little one on your bellybutton, right close to it. actually a laporoscopy isnt all that scary of course if you've never had one i can understand the fear but it really isnt that bad, i'm 25 i've had 4 of them plus a hysterectomy already, so i'm pretty experienced about what i'm talking about here hahaha. since you said that other people werent that helpful on other forums you can be sure you've hit the jackpot with this one, everyone is wonderful there, i love this forum i come here everyday to read what people have wrote and to see who i can help for the day and who can help me back. other people i'm sure will also write you and let you know how you will feel after your lap, and any other questions you'd like to ask us, we are all here for you. i'm going on vacation so i might not be here for the next 5 days or so, so if i'm not around dont think i'm ignoring you, i'm going to visit my parents and there computer is down right now. but one of the other ladies here will i'm sure help you, if you get this letter by tomorrow and you have anything to ask, i will be here til wednesday so feel free to ask anything. nothing is to personal for me. take care of yourself and i wish you all the luck with your lap and have a painfree week sweetie.
