My question is about what seems to be air trapped under my skin near my incisions(4) and all around my rib cage. It feels spongey when I press on my skin in these locations and fels "crackley." Is this normal??? My doc said something about emphysema something or other but we got cut off and are supposed to talk about it at my follow up(too long to wait--scared). Does anyone know what this is and if so what the treatment is for it? Thanks in advance. Also, about how long for full recovery??
