Re: Back home from Surgery....

It is so wonderful to hear of a case gone good. This is very similar to what happened to my mother. She had lived with endo for years without being diagnosed. One night we took her to the emergency room cause she was in so much pain she couldn't talk. The doctors thought it was appendicitis. So off she goes for emergency surgery, and it is the worst case of endo the doctor had ever seen. They removed everything including her appendix which had become "eaten up" (as the doc put it) with the endo. However, during her hysterectomy, which was done vaginaly, one of her ureters was sew shut. So three days later she had another operation for a blocked kidney. Afterwards we learned that vaginal hysterectomies should be avoided on certain people. Especially short and overweight. My doc said everything is to close and pushed together, that the risk for something to go wrong is way too high. So just a word of advice to the other short, healthy women out there.
