Re: Worried for my Fiance with EndometriosisFrom: Anon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Sep 2 18:36:18 2003
I think you've done all you can do right now by being there for her and researching for her and for YOU. Endo is a tough disease to understand and tolerate. She's lucky to have you. Don't give up on her and continue to be there for her like you are now. I probably wouldn't have made it through the last 2 years without my darling b/f by my side. Most men don't take the time or the effort to find out what they can do to help when it comes to this type of situation. The crying, the debilitating pain, the sex (or lack thereof) that comes along with Endo and the hormones NOT TO MENTION THE MOOD SWINGS!!! You are both still very young and have a full life ahead of you to take advantage of. Infertility is a big thing with Endo and with the right doctors and treatments can in some cases be "easy"... I hate the use the word "easy" when it comes to Endo but with faith things will happen naturally. Tell her it's okay to cry, we all have!!! And to vent her frustrations to US and you. There are a lot of books out there that she can read too. I have found most of them to be very helpful and there's even a nutritional book on Endo out there. I have read them all but for the life of me can never remember any of the names. Endo is complicated plain and simple. Hang in there and be there for her. Good luck.
