Re: Auto Immune ProblemsFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Sep 1 11:13:14 2003
Hi Kristy, I was meaning autoimmune disorders as simple as allergies or asthma, not just the big ones like lupus or diabetes. I also understood that not all women have them, but there was a good majority who had some other condition - like asthma, etc. In my family, both my sisters have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and my dad was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Hopefully, once endo is listed as an autoimmune disorder, perhaps it will be given a higher priority in the medical/scientific world, so they can come up with better treatments and maybe even someday a cure. Have you read something recently that said that it was about to be included in autoimmune diseases? I am curious about this subject.
Best wishes,
D.N.
