Unfortunatly both the women in his life he loves very much suffer from this disease, his sister and me. It is very hard not to beable to help those that you love. All I can say is be there for her more than you ever have been. She is going through a mental, emotional and physical roller coaster right now, and she needs to know that you are going to help her through this no matter what the disease brings. I know that it helps me to talk about the disease with my boyfriend. I feel much better when he knows how I feel and what may be going through my mind. And a few things he does to lift my spirits when I am down are very small, he brings me ice cream(my favorite), or he'll cook me dinner, but what really helps is when he just holds me and tells me everythiong will be ok. Righ tnow she probably feels alone, but reasure her she is not. This disease is hard and complicated but you need to be strong because she needs you to lean on. It is a trying time but this will only bring you closer! Best of luck, Caryn
