Treatments for recurring endometriosisFrom: Terri (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Aug 29 13:11:48 2003
My sister is a sufferer of endo. Although she has suffered from this illness from the onset of puberty, it wasn't diagnosed until about 4 years ago. She has undergone surgery and taken depo shots for a few years. Unfortunately, the shots have caused bone loss and she is no longer able to accept them. It has been a year since her last shot and she continues to develop cysts on her ovaries. Her OBGYN places her on birth control pills to promote the rupture and proper discharge of the cysts, but the pills makes her extremely sick. To help with the side effects of the pill, he has now prescribed phenigrin. (Sp?) The phenigrin keeps her in a sleepy state where she cannot function. I realize there are many people who suffer from this illness that are searching for solutions as well, but if anyone knows of a way to help ease her pain, please let me know. This cycle is destroying her life. PLEASE HELP!!! Are there any proven homeopathic remedies for this? Thanks, Terri
