Jen,

Let's see if I can remember to answer all your questions:) Have you ever looked into a condition called Interstitial Cystits?? That might answer a lot of your questions about your bowel problems-some women with Endo also have IC so I would check it out. Even though the doctor burned off the Endo-it doesn't mean that he got all of it-and even if he did Endo does grow back. Each woman is different in the time it takes to be back in pain but it normally does happen in a couple of months or even weeks. Even though he cut your nerves, those too will grow back where they used to be-isn't this one of those times that you hate our recooperating powers and wish the stuff that was cut just stayed that way???

A hyst is not a cure for our condition. It works to stop the symptoms from re-occuring in some women but in others it doesn't. For the hyst to work like we want every single bit of Endo and "Woman" tissue must be removed-not even a speck of it left. If any is left than the cells are still there to keep growing agian and these women are brought back to square one. While I have had no type of hyst-my mom had one 22 yrs ago and is still pain free-I guess she was a lucky one:) But I hope this helps you.
