Re: Will I still Ovulate every month?From: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Aug 28 21:30:24 2003
Ann, Question 1, yes you will still ovulate every month as long as you have your other overy or even a part of it you will still ovulate and produce eggs Question 2, Yes you will still get your period every month, your period has nothing to do with your overies but your uterus when you have your uterus taken out, like I did last year, then no more sheding of the lining which means no more blood which means no more period, only wonderful thing about having a hyst. Question 3, Nope it wont affect anything, they do have to burn off the endo but they are doing that to save what is left of your overy so that you will still be able to ovulate and have children, your chances might be a little lower now that you only have one overy but never feel you will still be able to get pregent. I hope I've answered your questions, and I hope you like the answers, I know I would if I were in your shoes. I was actually hoping they'd leave one of my overies so I could have kids to but it was so diseased they had to take them both and both tubes as well, but anyways enough about me, I think this is great news for you, if you asked these questions cause you want to concieve then you have a good chance of it, so good luck girl, all the best to you. If you have any more questions write to me here or personally at shelle20@yahoo.com
