SurgeryFrom: Andrea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Aug 27 20:23:27 2003
I have had Endometriosis for about 15 years now. About 6 years ago, My doctor and I decided to do the hysterectomy. He took my uterus, which was tilted, and scar tissue which I had recieved from giving birth by C-Sections. My doctor and I thought this would remove and totally get rid of the Endo. Well, then I started having problems with cramping and painful sex again. This was about 3 years later. So then I had my ovaries removed and all the rest of what was left of my child bearing parts. Again, we thought it was going to be successful this time. This was due again to the Endo. It had returned. Last year, again, it had returned and again, I had to have surgery to remove it. Here it is , 1 year later, and the Endo. has again returned. So my doctor recommends me going off the hormone pills. Maybe this was what was causing the endo to keep returning. NOT. Now again, I have to have surgery to remove it. Each time it returns, it gets worse. If anyone can tell me why it is returning with no insides left, please email me and let me know.
