Hello Everyone! As I was looking for some Hysterectomy advice, I fortunately stumbled across this website. I am going to make a long and boring story very short but, would like to give you a little history about myself. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis five years ago and am still looking for relief. I have had eight laparoscopies, delivered my baby in February, tried Lupron, tried countless "new"hormonal drug therapies, tried Tenz units and am now seeing a pain specialist while my husband and I try to get pregnant a second time. Each new therapy I try leaves some great relief for about a month or so but after that time, the Endo grows back...with a vengeance. After an extremely painful week, my husband and I discussed having a hysterectomy a lot sooner than we had planned. We feel that God is telling us that I'm only going to get sicker so we really need to pull the trigger now so that I can get my life back. Mentally, I am very prepared for this. I have my little girl who is like our miracle child...especially after docs told us children would be hard to accomplish. We are blessed to have her and with all the joy she brings us...we are so content. My fears lye with the pain factor. You would think that after eight laps that this surgery wouldn't frighten me but, I'm terrified and I am so scared that afterwards I will still suffer from the abdominal pain, lower back pain, chest pain and bowel pain. I know I'm not alone in this so, I am looking for a woman who may have had a hysterectomy or who knows some information that could put my mind at ease somewhat. I would appreciate any advice or resources you could offer. I apologize for writing a novel but am thankful that you took the time to read it.
