Re: Any Suggestions? Doc Suggesting Lupron AgainFrom: Jodi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Aug 21 13:21:00 2003
I'm seeing a naturopathic doctor on the 8th of September for my edno, Interstitial Cystitis and IBS. I have heard that naturopaths have had luck treating people with Endo. Perhaps you should try to seek one out. There are natural ways of getting the same or similar results without the side-effects. I know lots of people think of naturopaths as mumbo jumbo, but it's worth a shot. That's why I'm trying it. Just something to think about. Check out http://www.naturopathic.org to find one in your area. Luckily I have found a woman who specializes in women's health. I'll fill you all in on what she has to say. This is all going to be specific to my body and my conditions so I'm not going to say what I am prescribed because nobody should take herbs unsupervised, but I will tell you all if it works and if I think it's worthwhile. The unfortunate thing is that naturopathic medicine is not covered under most insurance. I'm paying $150 for this hour and a half visit. All visits after that are going to be 45 minutes long and cost $75. It's not super-unreasonable and with the way that my current doctor has been treating me, I'm excited to try something new. Good luck and don't give up hope. There is something that will work for you, you just have to work on finding it.
