Any Suggestions? Doc Suggesting Lupron Again

Hi Ladies,

I have been extremely busy lately and haven't had an opportunity to post for awhile. I had my second lap surgery done at the end of July 2003 and it was Stage 3. It was all over my ovaries, cul-de-sac, and colon. Yeah for me! I was on Lupron after my first lap surgery in November 2002 (then endo was all over my abdominal wall). I took lupron injections for 6 months (1 x a month)and did not experience hot flashes (thank goodness), but the endo came back just as bad. Unfortunately, I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome on top of having endometriosis as well (lucky me, not) and so I am under an endocrinologists care for both of these. My endo came back only 7 months after having my first lap and being on Lupron! I know that Lupron doesn't prevent it, but it is "suppose" to help decrease it. That didn't work on my part. Now, after just having my second lap, when I went back for my post-op visit a week ago, I told my doctor that I really didn't want to go back on Lupron since it didn't really help before, but he told me there wasn't much of any other choice he could offer other than a hysterectomy, but doesn't want to do that since I am only 31 and not married and haven't had kids yet. This time around, though, he is having me go on the lupron injection that you go only every 3 months. I am taking Yasmin 28 too. Any suggestions or ideas who be greatly appreciated on what I might do this time.

Thanks, Rebecca
