Re: Possible endo in uterosacral ligaments, but can't be seen? From: Anissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Aug 18 19:33:57 2003
I find it interesting I came across your message today, the same day I received my earliest medical records in the mail. I have had LLQ, sometimes right for the past 12 years. I have had 6 surgeries and I am finally going to a pain clinic next Weds. I was readying my operative reports and read fleshy, oranish colored focal implants on uterosacral ligaments (I don't see any notes in any reports they removed this) and also extremely prominent UL creating very large cul-de-sac. Again, it is not noted in any of my 12 years of medical records I have that they ever tested this, or addressed what this doctor noted he saw in 1992!! I don't know if this means there may be something in those ligaments, but it sure as heck does tell me I'm making my doctors address this issue. Let me also add, I've been feeling progressively worse the past few months and my last ovary (the last part I had in there) was removed on 5/1/03. They have had me in PT for back pain (arthritis they found in L5-S1) and then added myofacial PT (breaking up scar tissue all over my abdomen). One of the exercises is meant to work those particular ligaments. Wonder if that's what's making things so worse for me. I'll pass along what I learned, but my guess from my history and what I've learned so far - yes, there is endometriosis in there. I also think there is under all the scar tissue they keep noting over the past 12 years, but never seem to remove. Take care, blessings to you all everyone else on the website and I hope I find out something useful to share within the next 2 weeks.
