Re: Support neededFrom: Anissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Aug 16 00:05:45 2003
DN Thank you for the response. I was put on HRT from the day of my surgery, estrogen only. Through my searches online I have since learned this is not the way for someone with my history to go. I went back to my OB and we reviewed the meds, I'm on a program to be off the HRT completely within 3 months, she didn't want me just stopping. Yes, I am having menopausal syptoms. Hot flashes, night sweats, confusion. I was also told I have arthritis in my L5-S1 area, and began having fairly constant jaw pain now. My pain is daily, just the level changes depending upon the amount of movement and activity I have in the day. I had some blood tests done shortly after the surgery, and again about 3 weeks ago and things were in the normal range indicated on the test (they indicate the ranges). The doctor still can not tell me why I am lactating from day one after surgery even with the fact I'm decreasing my estrogen. He also felt I started having the hot flashes rather quickly and frequently. No matter what doctor I see, they all have the same responses "huh, that doesn't seem correct". The therapist doing the myofacial treatments indicated she felt a very strong pulse in many places throughout my abdomen, mostly down the center and just to the right under my rib cage. Any of this ring bells or point you in any direction? My pain is now in the left and right LLQs, and just under my rib cage, on the left is goes around to my back. And the lower back (tailbone) area. My husband and I have had some talks. He actually looked around this website and after this he seemed more aware of why it's so hard for me with all the testing and nothing helpful from it all. Getting the disability reinstated helped as well. Thank you again. Please let me know if you have any information you think is helpful.
