Kristi: What happened? You have *always* spoken so highly of your doctor. Is she no longer providing you with the pain medicine that you need? Have you considered a pain clinic? There ARE some pain clinics that will treat endometriosis and bladder pain/spasms. I was referred to a pain clinic in March and it was the best thing my GYN could have done for me. My pain doc has given me my life back. I can eat, work, participate in family activites. I still have some pain, but it's pretty well controlled and SOOOO much better than before. He's (the pain guy) interested in keeping me comfortable. I see a second pain doc that is a holistic provider that provides several holistic therapies for me - cranial sacral therapy, viseral mobilization, body energy work, nutrition and herbal counseling, referrals for both accupuncture and PT. AS the endo and IC become controlled with treatment, we will slowly wean the meds. I am also curious about the ID referral. Are you thinking the infection is causing you pain? I wish you the best of luck in your journey.
