Re: Aygestin? for those who have tried this

I don't know if there is a connection or not. My dr claimed it caused by stress. So she put me on Wellbutrin. Unfortunately it hasn't gotten any better. I talked to Kristi about it and she suggested going off of it for a couple of days and see if they quit or not. I'll let you know how things go in a couple of days. Michelle

Hi Jennifer, I took Aygestin for 5 months and took Lupron for 4 months. I never did get rid of any of those symptoms. Add to it hand tremors. After the Lupron/Aygestin mixture I was on Yasmin for 3 weeks before being changed to Depo Provera and Wellbutrin. The hand tremors have gotten worse to the point that at times I can't hold anything. I wish you the best of luck. Aygestin never did stop my periods until just before I quit taking it. I hope this helps. Feel free to E-mail me w/ any questions and I'll try my best to answer them. Michelle Jennifer <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote: I started it 3 days ago. How long before the side effects: nausea, dizziness to vertigo, intermitent sharp pain in right temple, muscle tremors, fading in & out and then onset of cramps start to go away? Also taking paxil with it. Not too excited but figured i had to try it. Finally took some ultracet this morning for the pain, but functional level is very limited. Ultracet seems to be helping but already wearing off after 1.5 hours. Can upgrade to vicoprohen or tylenol 3 but prefer to start with least level of painkiller. So my question is how long do these side effects persist? and have others who tried aygestin had similar side effects? did taking it at night rather than morning help? don't know that i can manage 2 weeks of these side effects, although of course, i need to stop the periods. comments --- trying to be rational about th! e entire experience. yes, i reviewed prior comments but seemed fairly vague.

thanks, Jennifer
