Embedded ovary in pelvic wallFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Aug 2 01:40:11 2003
Hi there, my name is Amy...new here and would love your advice. I had a laperoscopy befor I got pregnant with my seven year old because of chronic, left sided, periods. I was filled with endo and removed it. A month later, I was pregnant and had three kids in a row (7, 5 and 4). So, my periods started getting unbarable again. I had a laperoscopy in October by a doctor who specialized in OB and wasn't too great in the GYN side of things. He said my left ovary was two thirds embedded in my pelvic wall and it was like looking at the top of a golf ball pounded in the ground. He couldn't see what was on the other side but didn't see any endo from his view point. I tried the birth control pills (around the clock) to completely stop my periods and it didn't work and I was too drowsy during the day. Now, I just made an appointment with a great doc at St. Josephs (Phoenix) to see if he will take out the ovary. I don't want it to become fully embedded and my periods are as painful as labor. I feel crampy during the rest of the month, too. Any opinions...advice....would appreciate if anyone has been in my shoes and would love your opinion on what to do. Thanks so much, Amy
