The pain you're feeling is normal. If it gets severe in any way, though, go to the ER. But, you should be just fine. I normally have noticable pain for up to 2 months after a lap. And, your doctor is right, about the amount of endo and pain. You can have no noticable endo (all microscopic) yet have tons of pain, and you can have a lot of endo, and very little pain.
