Another newbie

I've only recently discovered this site and after reading through some of the messages I see I'm not alone in the struggle to first get diagnosed with endo and then find some appropriate treatment.

After 12 years of trying to deal with this, I've finally found a doctor who is willing to consider my needs and see me as a partner in treatment instead of a patient who is overreacting and should take my medicine and ask no questions.

Basically, after the laparascopy the doctor said "you're a mess and endotmetriois is everywhere..." We made the decision to see a doctor who specialized in endo and would be able to remove it all in one surgery including a possible bowel resection. However, the waiting list is a year in length and now that the endo pain has taken over most of the month, desperation has caused me to give lupron a try.

I had my shot a week ago but since then I have been sick. The next day I woke up dizzy, nauseous, throwing up and terrible diarrhea that hasn't stopped since then. My doctor seems unwilling to attribute this to the lupron but that's the only thing that's different.

My question today is about other people's experience with lupron. If this is how it's going to be for 6 months, how on earth has anyone managed to stay on it?

I'm at a loss. The pain is so bad that it's totally interferring with my daily living and doing nothing doesn't seem an option anymore. I hoped that the lupron would at least give me a reprieve but maybe I haven't given it long enough for my body to adjust. I guess my hormones are in total chaos at this point.

Has anyone experienced these terrible flu-like symptoms after receiving the shot or am I just a freak as my doctor has suggested?
