Darla, sounds like you passed some blood clots, which doctors will tell
you are nothing to worry about. The big cause of menstrual cramps are
when blood clots pass through the cervix. That's why the cramping
stopped after your passed them. Did you recently switch to a new bc
pill? Or did you just get on the pill in the last few months? I'd say
you're probably fine for now, but if this all happens to you again next
month, call your doctor. In the meantime, if you have any concerns at
all, don't hesitate to call your doctor and speak with his/her nurse
practitioner. That's what they are there for. I'm sorry you're having
pain. Good luck.
